Talk Of The Town Poem by Prince Adeniyi Daniels

Talk Of The Town

The new gangan (african talking drum) : talk of the town
The air taking a walk close to my ear was throbing
It caught my heart and got inside my spine
As I got into the church
The fan is extrastrenthened
And made my knee clutch
Everyone's hips are reflexly greased
Which got a drummer joy to take a first touch
All excuse not to be in church will sound lame
But the gangan(african talking drum) is not to blame
For all dancing shoes to be in flame
It hurts like loosing in a game
Now the gangan is to blame
For the air writhing and throbing in shame

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
It was on a sunday worship at a church I hardly attend but on a fateful. Day I was there a new gangan(african talking drum) was brought to the church which came along with some natural and energetic african vibe!
