Rating: 2.7

Ah...alas!
The leaving of New York.

We decide to take
the A train

but when the time
comes

we jump into
a cab

for a quick getaway
leaving 'that' skyline behind

as if we were
still stuck into a postcard.

NY
& us

though parting
still a part of it

loving the way
it buys into the myth

of
itself.

I whistle the Strayhorn/Ellington
tune

'TAKE THE A TRAIN'
