Taking From Us Poem by Spiritwind Wood

Taking From Us

Rating: 4.0

I see your lips move as you speak
but don't understand a single word you say
you make all the wrong you do seem right
and then justify it in your own way

You tear down Heaven and put up Hell
waging on your own War
as you throw your pennies in the wishing well
sending soldiers to do your fight

You bet the world on your own greed
and then feed on the weak
while we do your dirty deed
and in the end still you want more

Taking all you can from all of us
you want complete control of it all
then wonder why we don't trust
seeing through all of your lies
as you drain the soul's you watch bleed

You pretend to be a savior
but you're only the devil in disguise
taking from us more than you need

Putting up fence's and calling it paradise
hiding behind your empire wall
looking down through demon eye's
while the rest of us fall

Hell or paradise all depends upon the mindset and actions one who is active. A beautiful image in the poem.
