Hugs from loving little arms
Help make the world go round
And shouts of childish laughter
Are among this world's sweet sounds.
Innocent upturned faces
Listening to what you say
Make for special memories
Of very special days.
Sometimes you may grow
Impatient with demands of your day
And push away your little ones
Not listening to what they say.
Try to take the time to listen
You'll be so glad if you do
For children are growing every day
And soon are gone from you.
