Take Me Back Home Poem by Rebecca Ryan

Take Me Back Home

vs.1 Well, I've been missin' the place where I was born.
I lived there for 13 years, so when we moved, my heart was torn.
I feel like there's a missin' piece in the puzzle inside of me.
I really hope that I can find where I'm 'sposed to be.
(chorus)
Take me back home where I grew up,
With my other family and my other friends.
Take me to the place that I love,
Where my life had began.
That's where I wanna be,
Until I'm not alone.
I need someone to take me back..
To take me back home.
vs.2 I don't know what I'd do if I was told I couldn't go back.
I don't think anyone'd tell me that, but if they did, now's the time to pack.
I know Kentucky's not my home, and this isn't where I should be.
But if I don't make it down to Georgia, I'mma headin' to NC or Tennessee.
(chorus)
(instrumental)
Bridge: If I have to stay here any longer,
I think I just might bust.
I miss my momma just so much,
And Georgia's the place I miss most!
(chorus) x 2
Yeah, I really need someone to take me back..
To take me back home!
