Take me back...
to before I ever knew what it was like to love you,
to touch you, to need you.
Take me back...
to my FIRST second chance;
for as I stand here today, hindsight is the foundation for my clarity.
Take me back...
to that moment
before I promised you my world
and then reneged on every promise
I ever made not only to you but, to myself as well.
Take me back...
to before I ever SAID I was sorry; before I ever had to BE sorry, before I ever WAS sorry, before sorry felt if ever, sorry.
