Take Me Poem by Samantha Bell

The moment she left
Was the moment he made a promise
For she was his secret love
And now she will never know

She risked her life for him
But he just died along with her
The moment scars him
He remembers it like a nightmare:

The whole world shakes
As every bone in his body aches
Her eyes losing there shine
As he prays Take Mine

As he grips her hand and cries
She chokes out her last goodbyes
That hit him like a bullet to the heart
For now they have to part

He made his promise
For he will never forget
And what hurts him most
Is knowing there was nothing he could do but hold her while she slips away
