As we enter this Christmas season,
The birth of Jesus is the reason,
As shoppers hustle to get for each other,
For children-relatives-Fathers and Mothers.
Let us not forget what this season is for,
As we decorate mantels-windows and doors,
This Holy child that was born long ago,
It's his birthday that makes it all so.
As we hurry for presents to put around the tree,
That on Christmas mourn thrilled smiles to see,
That hearts may be happy on this Christmas day,
Take a moment to give thanks, take a moment to pray.
