Tagore Song (#92) Place Where Night Arrives At Day’s End Poem by Tushar Ray

Tagore Song (#92) Place Where Night Arrives At Day’s End

(ratri eshe jethayi meshe diner parabare)

The place where night arrives at day’s end
Thou and I came to meet at that juncture

Right there the white mixes with the black
And the daylight mixes with night-darkness
From here waves run to both rims
Amidst silence of bottomless blue
The sound of deep voice appeared

At that very juncture the golden light acted
I wanted to look at that face but
Trying very hard could not see it
When I started crying profusely
With my eyes in midst of dream and wake

a nice translation of a superb song... but the sweetness of bengali is missing here.. you will also agree that...
