Tırışkadan Nağmeler

ökçesi kırık ömrün aksak yolcusuyum
peşimde et kokulu haspa geceler
yürüyorum fillersiz Timur’a inat
közler küllerini o faili meçhuller

canki’leri şarap çeker varil başına
beni çeken yeşilidir yalaz’ın
uyutur mu yorgan, iğneli yastık
tomurcuğu selvi oldu fidanın

tut ki uzağız bir nefes kadar
ne çıkar açılsa sevda yolları
Asitane değil mi hükmü hapseden
berat bekler kelebekler diyarı

al topuğun beyaz tenli dilberi
sen yazıldın için için kendine
okudum notlarını sen’den habersiz
utandım, zül sayıldı zikrime

vur sevda kılıcın çözülsün ilmek
ben tutarım sardır beni yumağa
ister ör, giy ısınsın o nazik yürek
ister kürekle Pandora’lı kutuya...

How restlessly they speed, and gleam, and quiver,
Streaking the darkness radiantly!--yet soon
