Synecdoche Poem by Leslie Philibert

Synecdoche

Fat books and dead poets
Scattering in envy over my floor

Each backless like a flipped crab
Full as a blocked toilet and

Only half as wise; so bang out
The rhymes: may have to slip down

The cold stairs and scribble
Out the dog`s dinner; missed again.
