Swine Flu Poem by Manonton Dalan

Swine Flu

oh! my, I felt like melting candle
with high fever and aching muscles
tears flowing, coughing thunders
this couldn’t be from those flowers
nor overnight wrestling with bottle,
romancing my darling over and over

early morning i read from newspaper
brought me concern i almost tip over
from land of tejas, people are in mask
epidemic scientists boiling their flask
looking for good medication, vaccine
fears grow from outbreak of new strain

who would not have worries over this
spreading like an evil fire in wilderness
everytime i cough, i could feel sharp pain
i breathing fire, it could burn my skin
yes, with these symptoms see your doctor
no kidding, if you have it please stay indoor
