Swift Descend Poem by udoh etido

Swift Descend

After the night i did fall;
plunged in love's crust;
After the night i did feel;
what my mortal soul desperately need.

Treading on fierce roads;
my woes defeat my goals;
After the night i did weep;
my pillow tendering to my eye's needs.

The night set out beautiful;
paying cognizance to our blissful youth;
Our feet tread joyfully;
enjoying the night's muse.

When the stars did glow;
my love ever shown;
when our eye's did meet;
expected not such great deceit.

When the eve's breeze struck;
feeling our heart's beat;
i envisaged not defeat;
i envisaged not deadly shock.

A jewel in the dust;
allowed to bask in her guts;
A love sent to strange hills;
hills piercing the night's sins.

After the night i did fall;
remembering past songs;
After the night i did fall;
knowing not my love's curse.

Strange abodes abounds;
circling my head around;
Tears welling up beautifully;
rivaling the seas duty.

Strange thoughts emanate;
betraying my love's sway;
After the night i did fall;
knowing that time had gone.

I succumbed to woes;
my glow never rose.

After the night i did fall;
after the night came no dawn.
