Sweeter Side Of Love Poem by zackery geddies

Sweeter Side Of Love

Not one but two hearts are beating
Together here in this lonely world.

I could count the breaths she takes
Here as we sit arm in arm.

So ask me if I've seen love and I'll say
'Yes it has a sweeter side'.

Although love can be a time bomb
I'll hold her close to heart.

Falling asleep while I'm writing for her
It doesn't matter she doesn't have a clue.

Melodies on the guitar strings
Give me some time I'll learn it.
It's the words that are important any way.

I'm not drunk
Maybe a little dizzy
But it's not the shots it's you.

There's a dream that was deferred
But I'll follow it anyway.

Once lost I was deterred
But I found you now we're here to stay.

So give me the sweeter side of love.
Give me what I deserve.

It's cold here inside of my room
But I've got you to hold on to.

Celling fan
It blew a light.
But it don't matter.

Give me the sweeter side of love.
And I'll be sure to be thankful.

There's no question or a doubt
That I can't go on living without it.

Pandora's box is open wide.
But darling don't fear it.

So give me the sweeter side of love and we`ll be just fine.
