Sweet Relief Poem by Dean Meredith

Sweet Relief

Her husband
The landlord
Lay on their bed
Large and plump
Quite dead
She brushed her hair
Naked
With her back to him
Admiring herself
In the mirror
His hands huge
Like every part of him
She fair
And fine figured
Fireplace empty
Two ornamental cats
On the mantle
She seemed contented
He seemed relieved
