Sweet Pennyroyal Tea Poem by Kelly Zion

Sweet Pennyroyal Tea

So lonely, sad, and sweet
you've changed our world, you see
you made us so happy,
why'd you die We love you,
yes we do! You're not ugly,
you've never been plain, not true,
it's you don't loose you,
they used you
Lithium and sleeping pills,
'till you can't feel,
can't even cry right, die right
can't anyone die in peace anymore?
don't you wish the tea had worked?
too late, you've broke down and broke your beautiful face,
Beautiful fate, who's the man who sold the world?

Are you happy, where's your girl?
We miss you here on this earth
don't let us go, we won't leave you to hurt
no one was there, they never heard
the shot rang out, long before you were disturbed
we miss you still, we love you now,
love you now... now
NOW IT'S TOO LATE
sign your fate in autographs,
let us take what you don't have
sleep in the pines and cry for your world
steep the tea with Cyanide
and whatever else we can find,
fall asleep, Cohen dreams
Cohen didn't want you to go,
fall asleep, still we dream
don't you wish the tea had worked?
I love you, I LOVE YOU,
I love you too.
