Sweet Obsession Poem by Stevie Taite

Sweet Obsession

Rating: 5.0

My sweet obsession

Here inside my heart
Every day reminding
Of something I can't have
Ne'er comfort I am finding

Cruel to be obsessed
The switch not in my hand
The demon has possessed
The torment, I can't stand

I wish it wasn't there
Yet it is tattooed on
In time will its ink wear
and wretched ache be gone?

It finds no happy form
That sits there quietly
Instead it has me torn
Obsession, let me be!

Unrequited obsession. Terrible thing. But it does lend itself to poetry. Hope it's a nice work of the imagination,

I feel sadness spilling from this poem. Unrequited somethings are nasty things [3 A beautiful write from a beautiful girl xx Hi Red: -)

i think every poem on your page shows the next page of your life and so far i enjoyed it so much but i guess i don't like the sad part but each word makes a incredible story just like you

Obsessions are indeed difficult to relinquish, the trick is to replace it with something less demanding. Good one Stevie.
