Sweet Poem by Andrew Matthews

Sweet

Sweet smells of Summer
As I walk down the bustling street.
Stopping occasionally for coffee
And saying hello to the people I might meet.

Sweet smells the flowers in the gardens or on trees
Sweet smells carried on the wind or gentle Summer breeze.

Sweet is the taste of Candyfloss or if in America Cotton Candy
Sweet is the smile of the little boy who calls me Uncle Andy.

Sweet smells of summer
As I lie here in the park
Watching Birds and Bees flying high with their own purpose
Visiting trees and flowers, leaving behind their essential spark.

Sweet is the sugar I sprinkle on my Cornflakes
Sweet is the honey which every bee makes.

Sweet is the love for a child made from two
Sweet it is that you love me and I forever will love you.
