Sway Poem by Holly M. Doyon

Sway

Please don't watch my chest heave
As this last breath leaves me
For I don't want you to grieve
Even though you never loved me
Say your goodbyes, and your prayers
That are all lies
I am still here
Lingering in the cold, still, wet air
Watching you though you can't see me
All hope was gone
All faith was burned
So please do not mourn
My dreams were crushed
And my prayers were hushed
