Surprise In Lieu Poem by Colonel Muhamad Khalid Khan

Surprise In Lieu

life is a deception and we are shadows
No one knows how it comes and how it goes

Our stay is like wink of eyebrows
Its a doze a which is given to bulldoze

A momentary stay with very many tests
In a transit camp we are the guests

Dirty desires in barren chests
light less stars with drowning crests

Life is like a drop of dew
On the petals of a rose, what I knew

May be a prize but for few
But for the rest surprise in lieu
