In the morning when the sun rises
I watch it lift gently into the sky
I sit and think about what the new day will bring
I sit and wonder, hoping it will be spent with you
Even though you are not here
I imagine you are near
Staring up into the sky
I gaze into the fiery sun
I watch it drift lower into the horizon
Darkness seems to come quickly
and I think again
About you and me together
Sitting in this spot
Holding each other tight
All through the night
