Sunrise Serenade Poem by Natalie Linda Harrison

Sunrise Serenade

Paint me a sunrise
Gold's of heartstrings
Forget-me-not blues
Throw me tantalizing scents of sweet orange
And light notes of harpist purple

I am not a child of day or night
Don't caress me with whites of clouds
Or bathe me in reflective ocean blues
Don't lay me on a bed of stardust
Or dance me around the moon

I want to see your eyes light up
The sunrise of my world
Sparkling with passionate rosebud reds
And blooming
Those forget-me-not blues
