Sunrise And Sunset Poem by Patricia Grantham

Sunrise And Sunset

Rating: 4.5

When I awake in the morning and see the sunrise
My heart skips a beat as I begin to clear my eyes
My soul says what a mighty God I serve
To be in the land of the living and to feel every nerve

You can imagine the beauty in everything you see
To smell the odor of the sap flowing from a tree
When the sun goes down and the darkness comes soon
The whole world is lit by the light of the moon

When all is said and all is done
To see the day pass and the setting of the sun
As I go deep into the realms of sleep
I know that my God will watch and keep

Tender rhythm flowing with the sun rising and setting, illuminating the beauty that is everywhere given to us by God, Himself. Can feel His presence through your poem, a very quiet and still feeling of grace. Thank you for sharing, Patricia. RoseAnn

I am amazed by your natural flow of words describing the beauty of sunrise, sunset and the moon. The first and the last stanzas recognize God's Might and Kindness. Very well written indeed.
