Sunrise Poem by DEEPIKA GANESH

Sunrise

Rating: 5.0

Up comes the sun
Shedding golden light
As soon as he comes
He drives away the night
First is the silvery light
That gradually turns to pink
And when the sky turn golden
It is such a sight I think!
Cuckoos coo and crows caw
As if to say, 'Wake up! Its dawn'
And out I come,
To smell the fresh air
And to feel the cool breeze
Streaming through my hair
But I have to get ready
To go to school
But Alas! When I come back,
The sunrise is gone
And I have to wait to see it
Tomorrow till dawn.
