Sunrise Poem by Ryan Lee Morris

Sunrise

Rating: 5.0

The joy comes in the morning.
Only through the mourning.
The labour pain before the birth.
The birth of the joy.
If I have never felt sorrow, what would make joy so special?
The sun rises,
It is the dark that gives birth to the light.
As it is the pain that gives birth to the joy.
Was I robbed of joy?
Or did I rob myself?
If I ask why me, am I wishing my lot on someone else?
Then it is my joy I am willing to someone else.
Healing is the result of hurt.
A battle not fought, is a battle not won.
Victory can only be understood,
Once defeat has been experienced.
When I lose, I still win.
True balance in every situation,
Is always in the center.

The opposites are reconciled at the point of balance, and there lies peace. A deep and philosophical write - very good.
