Sunny Days Poem by Elia Michael

Sunny Days

Do you recall those sunny days
When we were young and carefree
When I would come for summer stays
Of two weeks or maybe three?

Do you recall the times we had
In our little coffee bar?
We drank and talked and we were glad
To be in the best bar by far

Do you remember the red cliff
Overlooking the blue sea?
We’d swim till our muscles were stiff
And the sun burnt you and me

We would travel on red tractors
(They were Massey Fergusons)
Oh we had the pride of actors
Very important persons!

At least we thought so in those days
Yes the times we had were good
I see them still, bright as sunrays
And I'd go back if I could
