Sunflower Aura Poem by Saiom Shriver

Sunflower Aura

My sister was waiting to
photograph
the sunflower a little
more grown
in order to position
itself as the radiant
aura over the four
foot high stone statue
she was waiting to
photograph.
A traveling deer came
along and decapitated
it, perhaps grateful
for the tasty meal
she had provided.
