Sunday Puzzle Poem by Marilyn Jean

Sunday Puzzle

Only to understand
What is it you want
Days after days
Weirder than ever
You, and me too
Don't you know
No flattery, here
I hope you knew
Feeling flattered
That was horrible
To me, and a love killer
Just this now
'Was so real'
Deeply felt
Such an amazing love
But you could not
Would not grab it
One year I cried
And you looked sad
Sadder and sadder
Really
Except 2 afternoons
When I sat near you
Or a few minutes
Here or there
So what is it?
What is it you want
Spit it out
Or admit you played
And the game turned
Unpleasant, too bad
Let me go
