Sunday Morning Poem by Shelly Stevens

Sunday Morning

Coffee hot on
A cool spring
Morning before the
Sun has found
Her way over
The eastern horizon
I think of
You so far
From me your
Warmth given to
A cold bed
Your smile held
For yourself and
Hidden from the
World a smile
You sometimes share
With me in
The dark of
The night when
No one can
See I hold
That smile close
To my heart
When I am
So far away
And only have
Coffee on a
Morning like so
Many others when
I wake alone
Dreaming of you
