Sun-Yung Poem by Ronald Chapman

Sun-Yung

Rose garden way up in the sky,
Sun-Yung filled with the sunshine of,
The young springtime year of the rabbit,
Of wooden stairs down to the great river at low tide,
Gentle, quiet, elegant, and alert; quick, skillful, kind, and patient
The sea is high.

Rose garden way up in the sky,
Sun-Yung makes me want to fly,
Time goes by,
Mom's Sunday morning pancakes,
Red roses and blue skies, and everything still,
Brings thoughts of Sun-Yung.

Sun-Yung's arms and dancing until sunrise in the gardens of Seoul,
And cherry blossoms,
Settle softly to the ground,
I dream of returning to my home and Sun-Yung's love,
'Romeo and Juliet'
Painted a picture of my life and my thoughts.

Rose garden way up in the sky,
Sun-Yung filled with the sunshine,
Memories of Mom's Sunday morning pancakes,
Red roses and blue skies, and everything still,
Brings thoughts of Sun-Yung,

The love of my life.
