Sun And Devine Death Poem by Adrianne Quinlan

Sun And Devine Death

Rating: 0.5

Winter's darkness
Falls with my strength.
Powerless to grasp
Feathers at arms length.

Helplessly, I lie
In a heavy lair of down.
Hoping for heaven's light
To rain down.

Raggedy Ann shuns Andy
This time of year.
Choosing instead to
Nuzzle grizzly bear.

Sloths and snails and
Turtles are my kind.
In a race with joey
I'd lag far behind.

So come divine death,
Take me hither.
Better seek out the sun
Than this damned inertia.
