Summery Shore Poem by Gayle Sweeney

Summery Shore

My bright, summery pink rose painted toes
softly sank in the warm sand.
Sunny, glittering stars on the dancing blue water
Dazzled the land.
I saw the footprints on the diamond shore
Made by happy sea gulls.
By quiet, gently breaking waves at early morning
The beach was lulled.
Way up in the clear sky the glad, golden sun
Joined me as a guide
Out over the blue shimmery ocean, so shining blue far and wide.
