Summer Time Poem by Paizli Palmrose

Summer Time

Summer time has got to be
My favorite time of year
I play outside all day long
While Daddy drinks his beer
Teach me how to catch a ball
I tell him when it’s nice
So we throw it back and forth
I only miss it twice
Then we head out for the beach
We look for shiny shells
And watch the many tiny boats
With multi colored sails
I’m learning how to ride my bike
Now that the weather’s nice
It really is a fancy bike
With red and blue and white
Yes, summer is my favorite time
The reasons are quite clear
There’s more to do at summer time
Than any time of year
