Summer Reigns © Poem by Roann Mendriq

Summer Reigns ©

Monsoon rains are passionate,
like a torrent full of tears,
Pouring, drenched to satiate,
the dusty, parched up years.

Monsoon's tears are thunderous,
drowning sorrows, healing hurt;
Grand with awe and wonderous,
A light and sound concert.

Monsoon's tears are mystic dark,
with looming shadows standing tall;
Devoid of light and fiesty spark,
a loud, tempestous waterfall.

But summer's rains upon the earth,
are light and joyous, tears of mirth!
