Summer Rains © Poem by Roann Mendriq

Summer Rains ©

Rating: 1.0

How softly falls the summer rain,
like petals on a breath of breeze;
Like joyful soft and sweet champagne,
that trickles on the thirsty trees.

How sweet the soothing sounds it makes,
a crooning, gentle, lullabye;
To fill the hearts of wells and lakes,
a sweet relief, a welcome sigh.

Summer rain, a sweet surprise,
A blessing from God's kindly skies.
