(summer Poems) Some Haiku And Tankas - View; Extinguished And Sunset

Rating: 3.0

VIEW FROM THE CLASSROOM WINDOW

Gigantic mushrooms
green because they’re summer trees
squat on the far hill.

Someone’s house stares back at me -
what vegetable do they see?

EXTINGUISHED

Next door’s window holds
moon’s reflection. Vanishes
when bedroom light comes on.

SUNSET

Cloudy continents
adrift on rainbow ocean.
Moon anchored to earth.
