(summer Poems) Some Haiku And Tankas) Scenes In The Garden

Rating: 3.0

ISIS

Isis spreads winged arms
flowers gaze at ancient face
giving her their gold.

BEE ORCHIDS

Wild blue orchids call
“We are Lavender’s sisters”
Grateful bee visits.

ZOOLOGICAL GARDEN

Dogwood and catmint
at peace in the quiet garden
bee orchids humming.

No elephant grasses here
nor tiger lilies stalking.

SUMMERTIME BLUES

Blue sky, blue orchids,
blue leaves, blue lavender
blue deckchair, blue eyes

Blue shadows on sunny path,
all blue today but not us

PIGEON

Pigeon lands heavily -
misjudgement, twig too fragile -
pigeon flutters out

up to the sky, pretending
to answer urgent call – cooooo

Zoological Garden is a total gem, small but perfectly formed.
