Beneath a full moon
this silent symphony
fireflies in the night

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
There is an 'argument' among folks who write haiku. Some say the traditional 5/7/5 syllables in the three lines must be adhered to in English as well as Japanese, Others disagree. Although eons ago I wrote traditional haiku, I haven't written any in recent years. This is my first attempt in a long time. And I am aware I am a syllable short in the second line.
