Summer Movement... Poem by Joey Christian

Summer Movement...

Rating: 5.0

A cloud of honey bees
hover
humming
over my chimney pot.

Wind borne butterflies
flutter
freely
over the clovered grass.

Hostile hornets
zip
and zoom
like screaming engines.

Swallows in ceaseless flight
glide
gracefully
searching for insects.

Tiger
lies
lazily
on the sun-baked patio.

Felix
slinks
sleepily
from underneath the bushes.

A perfect Summer’s orchestration…

Reading this made me feel sleepy, but then I realized: it's like a perfect summer day transposed into some words..and summer days make me sleepy. Lovely descriptions draw one into the languid hours of summer.
