Summer Poem by Matthew Eddy

Summer

Rating: 3.5

A whisper heard among the trees
You feel the subtle summer breeze
The heat beats down upon your face
The breeze stays strong and keeps its pace
The softened dirt stays in your toes
You take a deep breath through the nose
You stand alone, lost in thought
The scene you see keeps you distraught
You finally turn and walk away,
for this is just another summer day.
