Suicide Poem by JAMES T. ADAIR

Suicide

If you were to choose suicide
and you somehow died
You've chosen to bury yourself
Chose to turn and hide
When it's clear you have a heart
and feelings
much inside
that's the pain you now feel
the hurt feels so real
and the weight of it is heavy
too much to bear or push away
so you write in the dark of night
and try to express the things you can't say
you try, in spite of it all, anyway
You keep trying because you care
You keep a hope inside you somewhere
and the truth is some problems stay a long time
but it's true also their hurt fade as you go down the line
So stay!
Lose your throughts of running away
You have more inside
More to learn and say
Happiness too will come your way
It takes long for a story to unfold
You have years before you grow old and grey
You have many lives to touch
You don't realize it yet
But to someone not yet born
You may mean so much
You'll be stronger too and as such
To the needy you may also be a sturdy crutch
Life has much more and happiness too will come your way
Just not yet today.....
So stay
And if the burdon feels too heavy, as it may
Ask God to help you bear and life feel less unfair
Because he's always there somewhere
You'll feel his presence touch your life in many a way
If you lose your fear and find your faith to pray
