She smiles and steals my heart,
Her shining eyes are like the twinkling stars.
Did Cupid strike me twice?
First I fell in love with her
And now I fall for her eyes.

She moves like the flowers sway in the spring breeze.
Her petals, her eyes I look at and in wonder cease.
She does not possess them but has been rewarded as a prize.
First I fell in love with her
And now I fall for her eyes.

A beauty unequal, a marvel unmatched,
No time it takes for them, a look, to fetch.
They open revealing brightness as sunrise.
First I fell in love with her
And now I fall for her eyes.

Princes, paupers, friends and foes.
A glance and you would never want them to close.
So for a lover to die for them, be no surprise.
First I fell in love with her
And now I fall for her eyes.

They say not for nothing in verse and in poem.
‘When in love everyone is a poet.’
But what about me who was smitten twice?
First I fell in love with her
And now I fall for her eyes.
