Sufferings Poem by Colonel Muhamad Khalid Khan

Sufferings

Rating: 5.0

In torture and pain
In all disdain
In thunders and rain
How life be plain
From cradle to grave
I have to pave
My way in the dark
Even if dogs bark
Only patience can bring
All beauty to life
Eternal may come
At the edge of a knife
Hopeless by birth
Helpless by creed
Concerned about judgement
And not about deed
I have to search
My way through grave
No one can make
My soul a slave
My concience pricks
And makes me clean
My loftiest thoughts
Are ever green
The sufferings will perish
And I will cherish
