Such Is Life Poem by Daniel Y.

Such Is Life

One searches endlessly the alcoves of antiquarian shops
looking for a line most sublime, and many
have killed in pursuit of words come and gone and drooled over
the nude pages of an artist's mind.
But love!

O, but love is a poem of unwritten love.
A poem that consumes its reader entirely,
head and heart both, and more, and more than the reader can give.

Reader and poem grow together daily
in praise and longanimity that could
quiet the fiercest storm,
feed a thousand hungry men,
and heal their wounded hearts.

Such a poem
should not be lived without.
For such a life would be
not a poem worthy.
But love!
