Success And Age Poem by Phil Soar

Success And Age

In the trophy cabinet, the contents no longer swell
As his aged frame restricts his movements
So many years of success, now a memory
Old photographs and silver plate line his room
Reduced now to a watching brief
But still the recognition by fans is pleasing
And he sleeps well, although not comfortably.
