Submission 2 Poem by Vera Sidhwa

Submission 2

My submission to a human,
And my submission to God.
They both went separate ways.
They were like night and days.

I submitted to you,
And the resulting fact,
Was that you didn't appreciate anything,
That fit my act.

I submitted to you,
Almighty one.
It occurred the way it should've been.
My soul did Heaven's course run.
