(stuff And Nonsense) The Psychological Moment Poem by Janice Windle

(stuff And Nonsense) The Psychological Moment

Rating: 5.0

A funny thing happened to me
on the way to this couch.
It was no joke though:
my Id decided to pick a quarrel
with my Ego. My Superego took sides.
War broke out
and my Libido became a refugee
fled to a distant boundary
leaving my body behind to cope with
the decimation of its forces.
It was lucky that Intelligence
picked up Libido’s whereabouts
and I found I was still
Jung enough to know
the pleasures of losing my sang-Freud.

Highly amusing - love the internal rhyme, and the last two lines are a hoot! Word play at its very best! ! S ;)
