Student Poem by Osvaldo Roman Cerda

Student

Rating: 4.5

That student who nobody wants
The student who we do not look in awe
The student who we rejected
Who we taunted, tormented, hated

The student we learned to ignore
The student that is not in importance to us
The student who we look as the black sheep
Who is cursed on, spit on, and laughed at

The student whose family puts to the side
The student who has been misunderstood
The student who has never gained a purpose
Who has no experience, friends, love, a meaning of life

The student who cannot trust themself
The student who has accepted his fate as the last fate
The student who will never love themself
Who is on the verge of killing himself

Who knew I would be that student
Who was the black sheep
The outcast and the one who had not
Loved himself or anybody else.
