Loved the way this poem started with

    He's standing there
    playing with my hair
    Laughing and smiling

and then I thought his handsome face so fair sounded kinda right before

    'I'll never choose another'
    He whispers, handing me flowers
He leans in for a (stolen) kiss
    I'm weak for his power

its just me the romantic, internalizing lines I loved written by another :) Loved the ending, I was stuck in daydream bliss, that caused me to wish lists... must be the flowers of spring :) (Report) Reply

Aww! What a beautiful poem! What would we do without those moments of day dreaming, we could be stripped forever of the impulse of creativity. Thank you for sharing, loved with this poem! (Report) Reply

Life is too short to just day dream
Find him and then gleefully scream
Bedecked with flowers you so keenly yearn
And brimming with love that brighter burns....

When you yearn for something so badly that you think of it all the time, you do get it for sure...I am sure one day your daydream would come true...wish you all the best (Report) Reply

This is a lovely poem! I loved it...sweet and full of imagery.

It reminds me of a poem I wrote and I'd love to know what you think.
It's called 'Like a Boss' I'm sorry if it seems a little rude.

    Sometimes......
She wants to watch the base of his throat as he throws his head back to laugh
She wants to smell the ocean through the pine trees and hear her own soft whimper as he bends to kiss her.
She wants to feel him whisper sweet, crazy words close to her ear and delight in the hidden shivers he brings to the depths of her
She wants to feel the heat from his hand burn her thigh
She wants to pull his sweet breath into her chest and hold it until she knows it has travelled to the centre of her.
She wants permission to stand close...very close
Can he tell that his name starts deep inside her and rings and rings and rings? .......
Then she opens her eyes and, ever ladylike, crosses her legs, hands folded over her knees, as the world comes back to focus
She wonders if this too shall pass
So she can get back to work! (Report) Reply
