Stressed Out, Stretched Out Poem by Priyadarsini G Menon

Stressed Out, Stretched Out

Stressed, man, stress, skin of my soul
Run, nay walk, jump off highway, far too slow
Race along rails, meetings to attend, yap n gobble
Muscles screech, mind freezes, heart protests
A deep deep breath, advise experts bored, you’re alright
I take one, a heck of a deep one
A chokeful of yesterdays dust, somebodys smoke
Lungs collapse, heart seizes, I’m alright, alright!
Have no worries, I laugh in face of stress, a good old nemesis
As I lay, stretched out, burnt n buried by her.
